HARDWARE OPTIONS FOR PC-EFTPOS  

- The PC-EFTPOS system is capable of utilising many different models of EFTPOS terminals for the security and card reading functions of the EFTPOS system.
- The system is capable of switching between different terminals without any changes to the POS system. This ensures that any future changes to EFTPOS hardware do not require any change to POS systems.
- All EFTPOS terminals sold offer the following:
o Full EMV (smartcard) compliance at both level 1 and level 2. More information on EMV compliance can be found at http://www.emvco.org/.
o An operating system designed for the worldwide EFTPOS market that allows for multiple applications to reside independently within the EFTPOS terminal. Ingenico has over 100 different applications developed throughout the world that can co-exist in any Ingenico terminal. These applications include EFTPOS (debit and Credit), American Express, Cheque Authorisation, Smart Card Loyalty systems, Gift Card Systems and other store based proprietary cards.
o All terminals offered contain a minimum of 2Mb of memory which is enough memory for up to 16 different applications.
o Terminals can download software via a Terminal Management System (TMS) operated on behalf of all the Australian banks.
